The Tooling for the Rear Subframe and the Test setup for the Impact Attenuator have been completed. We are well on our way to completing the fabrication of the car and meeting the deadline for the Impact Test Data.

We met for our final team meeting of the intersession. The engine team has worked hard on preparing the wiring for the ECU.

The Chassis and Suspension design is completed, and we have started building the frame. The team has been hard at work to complete the car on time for the 2009 Competition, and we are well on our way.

Thanks to Scott Young and Taylor Race Engineering for their support and assistance. We have purchased the Tripod joints, Half axles, Stub axles, and the plunging system from Taylor Race and should be well on our way to completing the rest of the design to race in 2009.

Our first meeting of the new year went quite well. The main topic of the meeting was that due to time restraints and in order to provide the best Formula SAE car that we can produce and to give ourselves the best chance possible to compete at the highest level, as promised to our sponsors, we have decided to use the 2008 competition as a learning tool and compete in the 2009 competition. Our design is nearly complete and we will start building in the near future.

CSUF Motorsports held its last meting of the school year. Teams agreed to meet over the break and continue working on the car. Meeting times were set for each team.

CSUF Motorsports is planning to attend the Formula SAE West competition dated for June 13-16 at the California Speedway in Fontana, CA.
Next general meeting is scheduled for April 5th, 2007 at 7:00pm in the Raytheon Meeting Room.
